SPARKS 2007 - FuZAsia

Hi everyone! :)

As you know, SPARKS 2007 will be held on 4 August (Saturday) at NTU, 11am-3pm. (float performances will commence at 9am)

We are selling the personalised messages in a test tube for the bazaar,
...BUT...
we are also selling bazaar coupons for SPARKS. If you're interested, please buy coupons from us (Redgie, Joahanna, Sarah, Daniel) by Thursday coz we need to return unsold tickets by this Friday to MOE. Honestly, we haven't sold any coupons yet!!! We really really need everyone's support. ACJC is only involved in the bazaar, so we hope we can help each other on this. Please encourage your friends, including the locals, to go for SPARKS! It's really a very interesting and vibrant occasion where Asian cultures meet. There will be stalls offering games, traditional handicrafts, and various food from different countries.

SPARKS is only held once in two years, so this will be the only SPARKS while we're in JC. Don't miss this chance!!! :D Besides, even this year's SPARKS logo was designed by our own ACJC student. Let's show our support for each other. :) Spread the word. You can contact me at: 92208220 (very easy to remember! haha)

PS. Thanks so much for those who already ordered test tubes from us. BIG thanks to you! We would appreciate it if you could also show your support for us on the day itself. ;) Thanks again! :)

Cheers,
Redgie :D

PAT Dinner was GREAT!!! :D

PAT Dinner this evening was super duper GREAT!!! :D I think most of us will agree, right? The parents were very nice, there was a somehow good turn-up of people, and of course, *drum roll* the FOOD was SUPER DUPER ULTRA MEGA TASTY, YUMMY, DELICIOUS, SCRUMPTIOUS, ALL IN ALL GREAT!!!

Thank you sooo much for the committee and teachers who organised this activity. Thank you for the parents who were really very accommodating, kind, and understanding. In behalf of the J1s, I extend my most sincere appreciation to the parents for volunteering for this programme and allowing us, scholars, to be part of a family. I'm looking forward to a great and exciting 2 years with you. :)

All the best everyone for CAs/exams/competitions! ;) God bless! :)

From the "bubbly" (according to Wei Kit),
Redgie :)

PS. We should have more of this kind of activities as scholars coz seriously, I'm sure most of us still don't know each other. I, myself, am guilty of it. hihi so yah, but I understand we're busy people, yet I'm sure we can still find some convenient time for most of us. ;) ok! Keep smiling everyone! :D

Host Parents Scheme

Perhaps it is partly my fault that there isn't much information available bout host parents scheme.. So this just explains, in my own words what it is yeah.. Direct your friends here should they want more info..

The Host Parents Scheme is basically an initiative by the Parent Action Team of ACJC to care for the foreign scholars.. Being like newcomers to the country, the host parents are actually there to support us should we be needing any help.. They may also occasionally bring us out, invite us to their homes or any other activity to get to know us better, but this is all the initiative of the individual host parents.. They do everything for us willingly and out of love, so really, I do not see why we should, given the opportunity, decide not to participate in one of ACJC's fantastic support system.. There really is nothing to lose but everything to gain!

So if you have not done so, do sign up with your country reps by tonight, 6 May 2007..
